Kintbury Bowls Club are celebrating this year after winning both leagues which they play in.

We play in the Ashley Baker League which has 10 teams from Berkshire and Oxfordshire so 19 games are played in total. We were top of the league from about half way through but we had Hungerford, Lambourn and Ramsbury & Aldbourn snapping at our heels but we managed to keep our lead to the end. Some of the clubs who play in this league have substantially more members than we do, whereas we are a very small village team with just 35 members so we are so very proud of our success.

Kintbury Bowls Club also play in the men only KLV League and were in Division 3.  As we came top of that league we will be promoted to Division 2.  Again most of the clubs we play in this league are far larger than us so again we are extremely proud of our success.

If anyone would like to come along and try your hand at our sport please email kintburybowlingclub@gmail.com and our secretary can give you more information.  Our outside play starts mid April and runs until the beginning of September.  However in the winter we play short mat so as to continue meeting up.  We also have quiz nights and skittles during the winter so if you just want to be a social member and attend those events you are more than welcome to do so.
